President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the domestic policy issues and draft documents were discussed.
The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers presented the reports. The information on the draft Order on the presentation of money gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan on the occasion of International Women’s Day was presented.
The report on the preparations for an official visit of the leader of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey scheduled for March 3-4 was presented.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dwelt on the top-priority issues relating to the construction of new facilities in the districts of Ashgabat in accordance with the work plan in preparation for the celebrations in honour of the 20th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan and the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The report on the progress of construction of a new water storage reservoir with capacity of 500,000 cubic metres designed to store 5.2 million cubic metres of water in the Gozganchai River in Kaahka Etrap, Ahal Velayat in accordance with the Programme of the President of Turkmenistan for Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2012-2016 was presented.
The work on the collection of seasonal rainfalls is carried out; 1.2 million cubic metres of water have been collected to date. The construction of pumping stations and water collectors, which will divert water from the Gozganchai River, is under way. The commissioning of this facility will allow supplying drinking water to farmers associations. 1,500 hectares of farmland will be supplied with irrigation water.
The report on the measures taken to modernize and reconstruct the Turkmenbashi oil refineries was presented.
The report on the design of a new web site dedicated to the 20th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan and the Year of Neutrality and Peace was presented.
The report on the preparation of massive sporting events, leisure activities and cultural actions under the motto “Health and Happiness”, which will take place in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan on April 1-30 this year to mark World Health Day, was presented. It is planned to grow 840 tons of fish in the water storage reservoirs of the Ahalbalyk state enterprise with a total area of 1,100 hectares in 2015.
The Garametnyyaz water storage reservoir in Halac Etrap was reconstructed completely with the view to continuously replenish fish reserves in inland waters of our country.
The information on the preparations for the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Kyrgyzstan Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation, which will take place in Ashgabat on March 14, was presented.
The report on the outcomes of the seventh meeting of Turkmenistan-Austria Joint Commission and Turkmenistan-Austria Business Forum, which took place on February 23-25 in Ashgabat, and Turkmenistan-Iran Business Forum, which was held on February 26, was presented.
The information on the measures taken to establish the closed joint stock company which will provide satellite services was presented. This closed joint stock company will affiliate the National Space Agency under the President of Turkmenistan, the Altyn Asyr closed joint stock company and Turkmentelekom State Telecommunications Company.
The President suggested that the newly established closed joint stock company is named Turkmen Hemrasy.
The President issued the Resolution on the construction of the building complex of the Institute of Municipal Engineering of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
Other domestic policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
