Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia Li Baodong thinks that the economy of Asian countries is recovering after negative impacts of the pandemics. He has shared the forecast according to which their GDP would exceed 6.5 percent. It was informed by TASS.

“According to our forecasts, the growth rates of Asian GDP will accelerate and exceed 6.5 percent in 2021. This is an objective indicator”, - Baodong noted at the opening of the event.

According to Baodong, the Gross Domestic Product is the most typical indicator of positive changes in development of global economy in the period following the pandemics.

Boao Forum, which is also referred as to the Eastern Davos, is held on April 18 – 21 this year. It is thought that more than 2,000 guests from various countries will take part in the meeting.

According to official information, the growth rates of Turkmenistan’s GDP was 5.9 percent in the first quarter of 2021.
