Scientists-chemists of Turkmenistan perform the most important scientific and technological tasks for the complex processing of mineral, hydro mineral and hydrocarbon raw materials, training highly qualified specialists for scientific and higher educational institutions of the country, as well as for the chemical industry of Turkmenistan. All departments and laboratories of the Institute of Chemistry, have completely switched to business accounting from January 1, 2020.

As a result of the work carried out, a large research and information material was acquired. The collected materials can be successfully used by specialists in chemistry and chemical technology. All publications of scientists and employees of the institute, as well as annual collections of research and development works, patents for inventions issued to chemists by the State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Economy of Finance of Turkmenistan, scientific monographs can be found at http://chemistry-institute.com.tm...

One of the latest works of the leading employee of the department of certification and physical and chemical analysis, candidate of chemical sciences of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Gulli Orazdurdyeva, the scientific monograph "Analysis and determination of the properties of halogen cyclic acids and their derivatives" was published by the “Ylym” publishing house of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. This work refers to an important part of petroleum chemistry - the synthesis and analysis of halogenated organic acids. The author found a new synthesis method and developed optimal conditions for it. The scientist studied the reactions of chlorination, bromination and iodination of alicyclic acids, their chlorohydrides, methyl and aryloxyethyl ethers.

The work is of a research character, which is associated with the desire of the author to try to include in the study the entire spectrum of alicyclic acids and halogens.

It should be noted that along with the reaction of chlorination and bromination with molecular halogens, for the first time in world practice, iodination of alicyclic acids was carried out.

Using alicyclic acids as primary raw materials, esters, amides, alkalis, and transition metal halogens have been synthesized. The author's research has enriched the section of the chemistry of alicyclic acids. The reliability of the research results is confirmed by traditional and modern physicochemical research methods. The structure and composition of the obtained products were determined by gas-liquid chromatography, infrared spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

The scientific value of this monograph is in carrying out new regular studies of the halogenation of alicyclic acids. Using methods developed for chlorination, bromination and iodination reactions, the 71st new compound was obtained that was not registered in scientific sources.

Among the synthesized compounds are plasticizers that can be used in the production of PVC, herbicides for plant protection, and disinfectants for veterinary practice.

The monograph provides information on halogen alicyclic acids and their products obtained as a result of the halogenation reaction of naphthenic acids.

The monograph is intended for researchers, specialists interested in petro chemistry and petrochemical synthesis, as well as teachers and students of higher educational institutions of oil and technological specialties.
