“I have commenced my duties in 2006 as an advisor in the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan. The beginning of my activity almost felt on assumption of President’s office by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The first impression of what was seen in the country when Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has come to power was more than positive. Shortly, I have started to notice the speed of the progress of Turkmenistan under the leadership of its permanent leader”.
“Arkadag is not only an outstanding politician and head of the state who care of his country and people but also a person having creative set of mind. Arkadag is an author of number of books and scientific works, which number is more than 50. I was lucky to translate book “A Grandson, who makes grandfather’s dream to become true”, which was published in 2010, into Azeri language.
“Rapid growth of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan can be traced after the visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan on August 8, 2017, when two President have signed the Declaration on strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. The Declaration has worked as the foundation for further measures – signing of the Convention on Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, which have started multilateral cooperation and become the beginning of new stage of cooperation in the Caspian Sea and the main document for cooperation in all direction.
“Official visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Turkmenistan has been held on November 22, 2018. Heads of the states Ilham Aliyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have signed Joint Statement of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The heads of the states supported the idea of establishment of Turkmen – Azeri Joint Commission for transport, transit and logistic for rapid solution of transportation issues of transit, export and import cargos from Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Working visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Turkmenistan for participation in the session of the Council of the heads of the CIS states has been held on October 10, 2019. Face-to-face meeting of the Presidents of two countries has been held during working visit.
The next meeting of Ilham Aliyev with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held on October 25, 2019 in Baku during working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan.
All these activities have come to logical end on January 21, 2021, when signing of the Memorandum of joint development of Dostluk (Friendship) hydrocarbon field in the Caspian Sea has been signed”.
“Work of the President with international organizations and institutes is worth to be mentioned. International forums are held every year owing to the efforts of Arkadag, the country participates in global events organized by the UN, European Union, OSCE, European COuncil, CIS, members of Non-alignment Movement and other. Colossal work made by him for organization of stable and safe situation in the region brings positive atmosphere to the region”.

“In 2009, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has personally awarded me, who at that moment held the post of advisor in the embassy, with the state award of Turkmenistan for contribution to development of fraternal relations – the Medal for the Love of Motherland. Thus, this act can be considered as the first message specifying fraternal attitude of the head of the state to Azerbaijan at that moment. From that day and always, this honored moment of my life will remain in my memory”.
