Expanded meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held an expanded meeting of the State Security Council.

The agenda included the results of the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies for seven months of this year and priority tasks facing the power departments. The meeting also reviewed the progress of modernization of the material and technical base, introduction of a digital system and a number of other issues.

The first to speak was Defense Minister B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the measures taken in January-July in subordinate structures to successfully implement the military reform aimed at further strengthening the country's defense capability, creating proper conditions of service and life of servicemen.

According to the head of the defense department, the flight uniform, in which the President of Turkmenistan made a test flight on a new military aircraft during his working trip to the Balkan velayat, transferred to the new museum of the Berdimuhamed Annayev Specialized Military School, will be of great importance in strengthening patriotism among young people, inspiring them to achieve lofty goals.

There was also a report on preparations for the military parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.

During the meeting, the head of state signed Decrees on the release of Colonel S. Yalkabov from the post of rector of the Naval Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan and the appointment of Captain of 2nd Rank M. Byashimov to this post.

Minister of Internal Affairs O. Khojanyyazov reported on the results of the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the period under review, on the implemented practical steps to maintain public order, prevent offenses, and prevent road accidents. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported on the implementation of the instructions previously given by the head of Turkmenistan, including those related to ensuring the fire safety regime.

During the meeting, the leader of the nation signed a Resolution on the appointment of Police Lieutenant Colonel M. Babagulyev as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and on the appointment of Police Major B. Atashov as the head of the Police Department of the Akhal velayat.

Prosecutor General B. Atdaev reported on the comprehensive measures taken during the reporting period to monitor compliance with legislation in the country, improve the activities of the subordinate structure through the introduction of advanced technologies and development of the digital system.

After listening to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that strengthening the rule of law and law and order in a sovereign state, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens is the most important duty of the prosecutor's office, and gave relevant instructions.

Continuing the meeting, the Prosecutor General reported on the results of the prosecutor's check in the structures of the Ministry of Defense and the shortcomings identified during it.

Addressing the Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, the leader of the nation expressed dissatisfaction with the level of organization of work as the head of this department and demanded that the existing shortcomings in the subordinate structure be eliminated as soon as possible.

The head of state signed a decree, according to which, for improper performance of official duties, weakening of control over subordinate personnel and shortcomings in work, the Deputy Minister of Defense - Head of the Main Armament Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Sh. admitted shortcomings.

The next floor was given to the Chairman of the Supreme Court G. Ussanepesov, who reported on the work carried out in seven months of this year in the framework of reforming the national judicial system, as well as on the implementation of the instructions of the President of the country.

Minister of National Security G. Annayev reported on the results of the activities of the structure under his command for the period under review, measures taken jointly with other law enforcement agencies to invariably ensure the security of the state, well-being and law and order in society.

The head of the State Border Service Y. Nuryev reported on the results of work for seven months of this year, comprehensive measures to ensure the inviolability of the sacred borders of the country.

Minister of Justice B. Mukhamedov reported on the activities of the institution in January-July 2021, as well as on the practical steps taken to comprehensively develop the national legislative framework.

The Chairman of the State Customs Service M. Khudaykuliyev reported on the measures taken since the beginning of the year to improve the efficiency of this structure. A report was also made on the implementation of the instructions previously given by the President of Turkmenistan on equipping subordinate institutions with digital technologies that allow strict control over goods passing through the border of our state.

Then the floor was given to the Chairman of the State Migration Service B. Ovezov, who reported on the work carried out in seven months, on the use of the digital system in the implementation of the tasks assigned to the department.

In continuation, the head of state signed a Resolution on the release of Major Kh.Mukhammedov from the post of head of the State Migration Service for the city of Ashgabat, appointing Major B. Redzhepov to this position.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch. Amanov reported on the state of affairs in the supervised departments, the activities they carried out in January-July 2021 within the framework of the military reform initiated by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, as well as on the successful solution of social issues of the military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies.

A number of other issues were also considered at the meeting, and subsequent appropriate decisions were made.

In conclusion, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the participants of the expanded meeting of the State Security Council good health, family well-being, great success in their service for prosperity of the country and happiness of its people.
