In the course of the recent negotiations between у President of Kazakhstan President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived to Ashgabat with the state visit, a wide range of issues of the Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation was in the context of previously reached agreements and long-term plans for the future.
Today Turkmenistan actively cooperates with Kazakhstan on issues of strengthening of the regional and global security. The level of cooperation and coordination of joint steps is traditionally high within the large international organizations. Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are consistently developing.
The fruitful character has also the scientific and educational cooperation. Today about two and a half thousand Turkmen student study in the higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. The practice of regular contacts between the scientists of two countries is established, direct links between the leading higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan Kazakhstan are intensified. Another confirmation of this was a Memorandum between the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, signed in online mode in the course of the recent Turkmen-Kazakh high-level negotiations.
The students and higher-education teaching personnel of IIR of Turkmenistan met this news with great enthusiasm and joy. The geography of international contacts of the university is expanding. In the IIR has previously carried out and is continuing today a large-scale work to establish and maintain business and scientific contacts with many foreign universities. This direction of the university's activity is not easy to develop bilateral cooperation, it contributes to a significant improvement in the qualifications of specialists and teachers, multiplies the theoretical and practical knowledge of students.
Cooperation with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, being a diversified and leading higher educational institution in the country, will increase the range of international relations of IIR of Turkmenistan. the Kazakh University has a great educational, scientific, spiritual and educational, innovative potential, which is aimed at training highly qualified specialists. And from this there is confidence that cooperation between the universities of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will be mutually beneficial and creatively successful.
