Turkmen students won 22 medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad

22 medals of different merit - this is a brilliant result of the participation of students from Turkmenistan in the 15th International Internet Olympiad in Mathematics, held under the auspices of the Ariel University of the State of Israel.

By the decision of the jury of the Olympiad, the team of the Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute under the leadership of the captain, university student Dzhepbar Asgarov was awarded a gold medal.

11 silver and 10 bronze medals were rightfully received by the national teams of the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (Mary), the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz), the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, the International University of Humanities and Development, Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute (Turkmenabat), the Institute of Engineering and Technical, Transport Communications of Turkmenistan and the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan and Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan.

The competition consisted of two parts: a team blitz tournament and a team championship. It was conducted in three languages: English, Russian and Hebrew.

Over 400 students in 100 teams from 10 countries took part in the math competition. Among them are the USA, Great Britain, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, Romania, India, Israel. Student teams from 10 domestic universities represented Turkmenistan at the Olympiad.

Students of such major foreign universities as Oxford University (Great Britain), Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Russia), Yasi University named after A.I. Kuza (Romania) and etc.

In total, according to the results of the Olympiad, 86 best experts in mathematics from the participating countries were named, who won medals of various values. And 22 of them are students from Turkmenistan, who adequately represented our country at the prestigious international show.
