President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, upon arriving to Mary velayat with working visit, held offsite session of Cabinet of Ministers where situation in the region was discussed.
Under National programme for transformation of village in 2008 – 2016, 216 social and cultural facilities including 39 hospitals, health houses and centres, 116 secondary schools and kindergartens, 17 houses of culture, 45 sport schools and grounds, living estates with area of one million 320 thousand square meters were built. Along with this, water line systems of more than 3 060 kilometres in length, 965 kilometres of automobile roads, 2647 kilometres of power lines and 2616 kilometres of gas mains were laid.
As for today, nine social and cultural facilities are under being erected under above-mentioned programme. The construction of modern settlement in Mary etrap has completed. Works for put into exploitation of new village for 460 farms are carried out in Altyn Sahra etrap. Opening ceremony of another new settlement for 284 farms and 1420 people will be held in Jemgyiet gengeshlik of Mary etrap. Land fund of 13 789 hectares was founded in this region. As for today, around 52 200 families have received land plots from this fund
Besides, works on 11 large production and social and cultural facilities for more than 14 billion 700 million US dollars are carried out currently. There are development of second stage of “Galkynysh” gas field, construction of Turkmen part of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas main, increase of production capacity of Mary State Power station and others.
However, President of Turkmenistan stated that notwithstanding the successes achieved in Mary velayat that can be proud of, there are many oversights currently.
Chairman of Supreme Control Chamber Ch. Gylyjov and General Prosecutor A. Hallyev reported on the situation in the region. It was mentioned that work for construction of greenhouses, allocation of land plots for house building and farms, privatization of living estates of the State fund are carried out not in the proper way.
The Head of the State reprimanded number of leaders of velayat administrations for loosening of control over organization of works and made personnel reshuffles in the management structures.
Further, the floor was given to Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdyieva who informed about work conducted together with velayat hyakimliks for improvement of administrative and territorial division of Mary velayat. Draft of related Resolution were presented for review to the Head of the State.
