A cycle of online seminars dedicated to teaching foreign languages in the country's higher education system has ended in Turkmenistan. The event was organized by the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi as part of the educational and methodological week, held under the slogan "Culture and art of the peoples of the world converge and unite through languages." The thematic week is dedicated to the Day of Workers of Culture and Art and Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, which is celebrated in our country on June 27.
Educational and methodological seminars were held with the participation of teachers-philologists, students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
The final day of the week and remote seminars in her program was devoted to the French language. During the event, teachers of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University presented the participants for consideration and jointly discussed various methods of teaching the French language. Teachers-philologists of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi presented meaningful and interesting presentations on the topic of Turkmen-French political and diplomatic relations, cultural and humanitarian relations. The topic of translating the works of Magtymguly Fragi into French was widely covered in the presentations of teachers.
And, of course, the participants of the meeting proudly recited the inspired lines of the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, a brilliant poet and philosopher of the East, the founder of Turkmen classical literature. On this day, the poems of the greatest poet sounded heartfelt in French.
In their speeches, the participants of the seminars expressed their deep gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and the President of the country for the wide opportunities provided for the productive study of foreign languages and the special attention paid in our country to the dynamic development and improvement of national education.
As is known, in the education system of Turkmenistan, special emphasis is placed on the study of foreign languages. At this stage, the tasks of the national Concept for improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan, adopted on December 22, 2017, are being successfully implemented. The work within its framework was carried out in stages and is currently being carried out in the context of the third and final stage. In 2024, it is planned to achieve the final goal of the last stage of the Concept, which is the need to create a continuous, consistent and interconnected system of teaching foreign languages in Turkmenistan.
