Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov and hyakims of the velayats. The agenda included the progress of agricultural work in the regions of the country.

First, the floor was given to the hyakim of Akhal Velayat Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the activities carried out in the region, the measures being taken to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of the grain crop from the points of reception to the elevators and its placement in barns, as well as the plowing work carried out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements on fields freed after mowing.

Information was provided on the practical steps taken to care for cotton, including measures to prevent various diseases and protect against pests, as well as organized harvesting of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops.

Separate topics of the report were water supply and the state of affairs at social and industrial facilities under construction, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Having listened to the report, the head of state emphasized that issues related to the progressive socio-economic development of the velayat should be in the spotlight. The important requirements of the day include uninterrupted transportation of the harvested wheat to the elevators and its proper storage in barns, the President of Turkmenistan said, having addressed the hyakim with a number of specific assignments.

Then the hyakim of the Balkan velayat T. Atakhalliyev reported on the seasonal campaigns carried out in the fields of the region, including the care of cotton and sugar beet in accordance with the agrotechnical requirements, as well as the ongoing plowing and leveling of the fields after the grain harvest.

Summing up the report, the head of Turkmenistan noted that the main factor for the success of the upcoming cotton harvest is the proper care of the crops. In this context, the importance of constant monitoring of the measures taken in this direction, timely and high-quality inter-row cultivation, irrigation and fertilization of cotton with mineral fertilizers was emphasized.

Then the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov reported on the situation in the region, the measures taken to organize the transportation of the wheat crop from the points of reception to the elevators and proper storage of grain in barns. It also reported on ongoing field campaigns, including plowing and leveling of land freed up after harvesting, on agrotechnical measures to care for cotton and rice fields.

The head of the regional administration reported on the practical steps taken to collect rich crops of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops without loss.

Information was also provided on the ongoing measures to increase the pace of construction of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan outlined the care of cotton crops in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology among the priorities. The leadership of the administration of the velayat was given specific instructions regarding the timely and high-quality inter-row cultivation of cotton, watering and fertilizing with mineral fertilizers, pest control, etc. The Head of State also addressed the hyakim with instructions on the efficient use of agricultural machinery and equipment involved in the areas sown with rice.

Separate instructions related to the construction of various facilities, repair work in educational institutions before the start of the new academic year.

The hyakim of the Lebap velayat Sh. Amangeldiev, who spoke next, reported on the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns, steps taken to organize uninterrupted transportation of grain to elevators and barns. These days, inter-row cultivation, feeding with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation of cotton, its tipping is carried out. Measures are being taken to prevent diseases and protect the crop from pests.

Currently, the region is carrying out plowing and leveling of fields freed up after mowing, as well as harvesting potatoes, vegetables and melons. Rice fields are cared for in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology.

A report was also made on the state of water supply in the velayat. The head of the regional administration reported on the pace of work at the facilities under construction for various purposes, the measures taken to ensure the high quality of construction and commissioning of facilities on schedule.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need for comprehensive and high-quality care for the “white gold” crops in accordance with agrotechnical standards. At the same time, the emphasis was placed on the organization of this important agricultural campaign, taking into account all the factors on which a good harvest in the future depends.

Specific instructions were given regarding the effective use of the region's water management system and the analysis of its condition. Noting the need to ensure the high quality of construction of social and industrial facilities, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed the hyakim to keep repairs in educational institutions in the spotlight.

Further, the hyakim of the Mary velayat D. Annaberdiev reported on the ongoing seasonal campaigns in the fields of the region, the measures being taken to transport grain from receiving points to elevators and ensure its proper storage in barns. As reported, the lands released after the harvest are being plowed and leveled.

The head of the administration of the velayat reported on the state of affairs in the field of water supply, as well as on the practical steps taken to complete the construction of social and industrial facilities on schedule.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the indicators of the future cotton harvest depend on the selfless labor of tenant cotton growers these days. In this regard, the need for proper inter-row cultivation of cotton fields, additional feeding during the growing season of crops with mineral fertilizers and water was noted.

As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, one of the topical areas of activity is the rational use of water resources and the maintenance of hydraulic structures in proper operational condition, instructing to conduct an appropriate analysis for this purpose.

Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the supervised sector, the practical steps taken to further develop the agro-industrial complex. A report was made on the transportation of the collected grain from the points of reception to the elevators and barns, the ongoing work on the preparation of seed material for the next year's harvest.

In Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, rice fields are being cared for, and in the Balkan and Mary velayats, sugar beet crops are being taken care of. In all regions of the country, the harvest of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops is organized.

The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the implementation of the instructions of the head of state, according to which measures are being taken to improve the reclamation state of lands and the rational use of water resources. In this context, it was reported on the ongoing work to restore and strengthen the hydroprotective structures on the Amu Darya, clean up the bed of the Karakum River and other watercourses, create water reserves and expand the volume of reservoirs.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the priority tasks facing the agro-industrial complex. At present, the foundations for a future rich harvest are being laid, the head of state continued, noting the need to control the entire range of ongoing work, including the transportation of grain to elevators and ensuring its proper storage in barns.

The priority vectors for the forthcoming activities include high-quality plowing of the vacated land, proper organization of the selection of seed material, and rational water use in the course of agricultural work were identified. The solution of these issues should be approached taking into account the achievements of modern science and national traditions of agriculture, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized, having addressed the Vice-premier with a number of specific instructions.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the draft Resolution concerning amendments and additions to the volumes of petroleum products for 2022 for domestic consumers of Turkmenistan, approved by the relevant document of the President of Turkmenistan dated January 21 of this year.

Having signed the presented Decree, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent it to the Deputy Prime Minister via the digital system. As noted, according to the document, farmers' associations, which were allocated land, and commodity producers are provided with additional support. To this end, it was determined to sell the diesel fuel necessary for their equipment at the approved tariffs, which will contribute to the cultivation of rich crops, and as a result, the abundance of sachaks of our people, the President of Turkmenistan said.

Then, addressing the vice-premier and hyakims of the velayats, the head of state focused on a number of issues. First of all, the emphasis was placed on the need to increase the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns. Instructions were also given to ensure strict control over the progress of work being carried out in the regions.

Speaking about the importance of conducting a detailed analysis of the state of affairs regarding the efficient use of land and water resources, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed specific instructions to all participants of the working meeting.

Among the most urgent areas of activity is the development of seed production, the head of state said, having ordered to organize work in this area at the proper level, since the yield of agricultural crops largely depends on the quality of the seed.

Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished everyone good health, family well-being and success in working for the benefit of the people and prosperity of the country.
