The film of the Turkmen director Sahysalyh Bayramov “Gyzyl kürte” was included in the program of the I International Film Festival of Debut Films of the Eurasian Continent “One Sixth”, which will be held in Yekaterinburg from August 12 to 17.

The film “Gyzyl kürte” was filmed in the spirit of honoring the national values of the Turkmen people. The life story tells about the fate of a rural girl whose fiancé went to the front. In one of his letters, the guy asks the bride not to take off her red kurte - a wedding cape decorated with national ornaments.

The people of Turkmenistan have already managed to evaluate the film novelty created at the Creative Association “Turkmenfilm” named after Oguzhan.

Weeks of Culture-2022. The film was also presented at the foreign site of the TURKSOY International Film Forum, held in July this year in Turkey.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback about our work, both in Turkmenistan and abroad,” said director Sahysalyh Bayramov. - At the moment we are developing a new script for the future film and, of course, we are preparing to present our film in the capital of the Urals.

The extensive program of the “One-Sixth” Film Festival included more than 20 foreign feature and documentary films. Along with them, a screening of animated films is planned. At the creative platform, the participants of the film forum will consider the pressing topics of the modern film industry, and will also be able to visit the acting and scripting laboratories. Speakers from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Croatia, South Korea and Russia are expected to speak.

Among the members of the jury of the film festival is actress Yulia Snigir (Russia), an adviser for the cinema of Russia and Central Asia at the Busan International Film Festival Hong Sang Wu (South Korea). Director, producer, screenwriter, winner of the main prize for the film “Son” at the Moscow Film Festival Mehdi Fard Gaderi (Iran) and others.

As part of the competition program, winners will be determined in four categories: “Best International Fiction Debut”, “Best International Non-Fiction Debut”, “Best Russian Fiction Debut”, “Best Russian Fiction Debut”.
