Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov supervising the agro-industrial complex, and khyakims of the velayats to discuss the state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex, the progress of seasonal field work in the regions, as well as preparations for the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the country’s sacred independence.

First, the floor was given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the pace of the cotton harvest in the region, the efforts being made to gather the grown cotton crop within the optimal timeframe and without losses, defoliation, and ensuring the smooth operation of combines and other machines.

The khyakim also reported that work is underway to handle winter potatoes, vegetables and other crops, and timely gather the grown harvest.

The report included the information on the preparations for the celebration of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, the construction progress of various facilities to be commissioned this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of accelerating the cotton harvest pace and successfully completing the targets set. The uninterrupted operation of combines and other machines must be provided.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atahalliyev made a report on the progress of seasonal field works, including the pace of the cotton harvest campaign.

It was specified that combines and other machines are actively operated in harvesting, and cotton is defoliated.

The reported also covered the progress of winter wheat sowing in accordance with agro-technical requirements, the full-capacity operation of equipment, as well as that wheat is germinating evenly in the fields of the region which are irrigated now.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of maintaining high rates and meeting the deadlines for carrying out the planned work, including cotton harvesting without losses, and winter wheat sowing, having given the Khyakim relevant instructions.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report given by Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the situation in the northern region, the pace of the cotton harvest campaign, in which combines and other machines are operated at full capacity, and cotton is defoliated.

Necessary measures are taken to organize the winter grains sowing within the set agro-technical terms and with high quality, as well as land treatment and irrigation of wheat seedlings that have begun to sprout.

The report included the information that good crops of winter potatoes and other fruits and vegetables have been grown in the velayat, and every effort is made to gather the crop in a timely manner and without losses.

Work is underway in the rice plantations of the northern region to harvest the grown crop within a short time and without losses.

Information was provided on preparations for the celebration of the 31st anniversary of independence, the opening of a new bus station on this occasion, the construction progress of social and industrial facilities to be commissioned this year.

Having heard the report, the head of state highlighted the importance of accelerating the pace of winter wheat sowing and, in general, successful development of the agro-industrial complex to ensure food abundance in the country, having given the hyakims specific instructions.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiyev reported on the progress of the cotton harvest in the eastern region of the country, the smooth operation of combines and other machines, and defoliation.

The wheat sowing campaign is under way in accordance with agro-technical standards, the agricultural machinery necessary for this work is operated at full capacity, and watering is in progress in the fields where seedlings begun to sprout.

The report covered the winter potatoes, vegetables and melons treatment, as well as preparations for the rice harvest.

Moreover, active preparations are under way in the region for the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan, the ceremonial opening of a new bus station timed to coincide with this event. The khyakim also reported on the state of affairs in the construction of facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the sector under his supervision, the measures being taken to grow good crops and enhance food abundance in the country.

On the instructions of the head of state, a meeting was held on issues related to the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the velayats, organized cotton harvesting and completion of winter wheat sowing on time and with high quality.

The report also covered the comprehensive work ongoing in the country’s velayats to transfer various crops grown in remote areas to the cultivated area, improve water supply to farmlands, and accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov specified that seasonal agricultural work is of great importance in the life of farmers, and proper organization thereof and the high-quality agricultural performance are the main requirement of today, having given a number of specific instructions.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that the measures ongoing currently in the regions of the country to timely complete seasonal agricultural campaigns are the key to future plentiful harvests, maintaining food abundance in the country, as well as creating a solid resource base for the textile industry, and ordered to accelerate the pace of work in this area.

Emphasizing the importance of the responsible and comprehensive approach of the Deputy Prime Minister and hyakims of the velayats to the successful implementation of the objectives set, the head of state gave specific instructions to the meeting participants.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health and great success in their work for the prosperity of the Homeland.
