Recreation park «Tashkent» is another visible symbol of the indestructible Turkmen-Uzbek friendship

Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the «Tashkent» recreation park built in Ashgabat.

The head of Turkmenistan met the distinguished guest at the main entrance to the new park, which has become another visible symbol of the indestructible Turkmen-Uzbek friendship.

As you know, Ashgabat and Tashkent are sister cities. Remind that in April 2018, «Ashgabat» park was opened in the Uzbek capital, which is now one of the favorite places for recreation for residents and guests of the city. And the opening of the «Tashkent» park in the Turkmen capital is another step towards rapprochement and good-neighborly communication between our two peoples, connected by a historically established community of cultural and spiritual traditions.

The design of the park uses elements of national Uzbek decor and architecture. It provides everything for a pleasant stay and cultural family recreation. In the new park, both children and adults will be able to spend their free time interestingly and with pleasure.

On its well-maintained and landscaped territory there is a cozy cafe «Tashkent», a teahouse, a restaurant, there is also an amphitheater. For young visitors there are colorfully designed rides and playgrounds.

The features of the park design are original elements reflecting the symbols of a friendly country. Among them is a fountain with a mosaic ornament, in the centre of which there is a sculptural composition depicting the globe and storks ascending upwards, similar to the one that crowns the arch on the main square of Tashkent - Mustakillik. The peculiar «tea set» consisting of large and small dishes, a teapot and several bowls, as well as arbors decorated in oriental style, also attracts attention.

Here you can see a small copy of the Tashkent TV tower - an architectural landmark of the Uzbek capital.

In this regard, it should be noted that tea drinking is a separate page of the rich culture of the peoples of Central Asia. A teahouse is not just a place where you can drink fragrant tea and taste different dishes. It has long been and still remains a place of communication and relaxation, confidential conversations and friendly meetings. Today, as before, the teahouse with its peculiar way of life and features is a place of attraction for travelers and tourists.

Since ancient times, the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples have had original traditions of tea drinking, inseparable from the original customs of hospitality. For centuries, the teahouse has been in demand all year round. After all, tea saves both from the summer heat and from the winter cold, and also has healing properties, which is proven by science. As you know, the book of the Hero-Arkadag «Tea - medicine and inspiration» tells the ancient history of this drink, which is popular all over the world, its benefits, methods of preparation and traditions of tea drinking of our people.

Also, through a direct teleconference organized via digital communication, Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the solemn ceremony of laying the foundation of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone - the Trade Centre, which took place on the territory of the Dashoguz velayat.

In this context, it is appropriate to note that in recent years, interstate cooperation between the regions of the two countries has significantly intensified, including between the Dashoguz velayat of Turkmenistan and the Horezm velayat of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Thereby, a modern specialized infrastructure will be created here for the active development of border Turkmen-Uzbek trade relations that meet common interests.
