The Scientific and Methodological Center of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a master class on artistic writing for students of journalism faculties of the capital's universities.

The event was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan within the framework of the European Union Culture Week "Unity in Diversity", which started in the Turkmen capital on October 24.

The meeting with the student audience was held by a specialist from Latvia, Elvita Ruka, an art critic, publicist, expert of the Latvian National Directorate of Cultural Heritage. In the course of a meaningful lesson, it was about creative journalism, the expert told the students about the art of creative writing and the features of journalism in an interesting and detailed way. The master class from the Latvian specialist was held with the active participation of students who showed special attention and keen interest in the lesson.

In general, within the framework of the EU Culture Week in Turkmenistan, four master classes on artistic writing from Elvita Ruk are planned for representatives of the Turkmen media and students of journalism departments of domestic universities. In particular, thematic meetings will be held with the participation of students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the International University for the Humanities and Development.

Students of Turkmen universities are also involved in other activities as part of a creative action that will last in Ashgabat until October 31. In the marathon of bright events of the EU Culture Week, the Days of the Italian language are held, bringing together students of the above-mentioned universities, as well as the Turkmen State Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi.

The holding of the Week of Culture of the European Union in our country demonstrates the strengthening and development of the fruitful partnership between Turkmenistan and the EU, a significant component of which are contacts in the humanitarian sphere.
