The first meeting of the Council of Elders of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was held today, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. As is known, this year a decision was made to create a Council of Elders under this Foundation chaired by its founder.
From time immemorial, the Turkmen people, following their enduring humane principles and noble traditions, attached great importance to caring for the younger generation, its health, comprehensive training and education in the spirit of hard work and love for the native land. In the new historical era, the wise pedagogical methods laid down by our ancestors acquire a worthy continuation.
Talking with the elders representing the capital and velayats, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inquired about their affairs, the results of the work carried out in the field and large-scale measures aimed at patriotic education of the younger generation.
Hero-Arkadag also noted that at today's meeting, held on behalf of the head of state, issues related to the Family Code and relevant laws of Turkmenistan, and the upcoming tasks to help children in need of care will be discussed.
At all times, the Turkmens paid special attention to the educational process, in every possible way supported the undertakings of the young, in whom they saw the future of their people and Fatherland. For the younger generation, with whom we associate the future of the Motherland, pre-school and general educational institutions built in the country, sports facilities and children's health centers with all amenities are intended. Comprehensive care for children, the desire to surround them with care and love is a primordial national principle, continued the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh.
Emphasizing the key role of the elders in establishing the wise traditions of the ancestors in the society, introducing the youth to conscientious work, the Hero-Arkadag wished them success in this work.
Then the floor was given to the representatives of the older generation participating in the meeting.
Allayar Allakov, representing the Mary velayat, who spoke first, noted that the noble cause initiated by Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully continuing under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is yielding positive results. The state pays priority attention to ensuring the prosperous life of the people, training highly qualified young professional personnel who are well versed in advanced technologies. An integrated approach to the pedagogical process will make it possible to educate a widely educated young generation, devoted to the Motherland, the people and the President of the country with all their hearts.
Emphasizing that the solution of issues related to the harmonious development of young compatriots is constantly in the field of view of the state, Hero-Arkadag noted the important role of the elders in this process, expressing confidence that they will continue to work effectively in this direction.
Then Allaberdi Charyev, also representing the Mary velayat, spoke and expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity to take part in the meeting and exchange views on pressing issues for the people and the country. As emphasized, the upbringing of the younger generation is invariably an urgent task. In this context, the speaker proudly noted the worthy contribution of the elders to the consistent promotion of the noble traditions of educating the youth, which is the guarantor of the further peaceful and creative development of the country, as well as to involving young citizens in conscientious work.
As Hero-Arkadag emphasized, Turkmens have always attached great importance to the upbringing of children. On the part of the state, all conditions are created for the full disclosure of the intellectual and creative potential of young people, which inspires them to achieve success in the educational and professional fields.
In continuation of the first meeting of the Council of Elders at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, the floor was given to Eresh Talipov, representing the Lebap velayat. In his speech, he reported about the state of affairs in the region, focusing on the features of interaction between the young and older generations. As noted, youth plays an important role in the successful implementation of large-scale reforms that are of great importance in the life of the Fatherland. In order to solve the priority tasks set for educating young compatriots in the spirit of high spiritual and moral values of the nation, representatives of the older generation regularly participate in propaganda activities.
Thanking the venerable elders for stimulating the youth's enthusiasm for conscientious work and active social activities, Hero-Arkadag listened to the speech of another of the participants in the meeting, who arrived from the Lebap velayat, Garly Bazarov.
On behalf of the elders and youth of the eastern region of the country, the speaker expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the provision of the necessary support from the state for young Turkmen citizens to receive education, their career guidance, and the creation of conditions for effective labor activity. Today, Turkmen youth, deeply involved in science, is active in all spheres of the life of the Motherland. This is a clear evidence of the positive results of the progressive policy implemented in Turkmenistan.
Emphasizing that the state will continue to take care of the harmonious development of the younger generation, Hero-Arkadag noted the special importance of the active participation of respected elders in public activities.
Then the floor was given to Toyly Kurbanmetov representing the Dashoguz velayat. The speaker expressed sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity to participate in the meeting, which brought together elders from all velayats and the city of Ashgabat to discuss the most important issues in the life of the country. It should be noted that the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, established by the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag, Haji Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is working effectively today, providing comprehensive support to young Turkmen citizens. This is a visible confirmation of the triumph of the primordial humane principles of our people in the modern era.
The state pays due attention to providing comprehensive assistance and support to children in need of guardianship, said Hero-Arkadag, emphasizing that these noble principles are of particular importance in ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the younger generation.
Khenip Zahyrov, who also came from the Dashoguz velayat, spoke next and noted that it was a great honor for him to participate in the first meeting of the Council of Elders under the aforementioned Charitable Foundation. As emphasized, such meetings will become an effective contribution to the further development of the noble undertakings of the Hero-Arkadag, which is especially important in continuing the good traditions of our people that have developed over the centuries in the modern period.
Noting the importance of the active participation of the venerable elders in preparing the younger generation for an independent life, moral and patriotic education of our young citizens, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the esteemed yashuli further success in their activities.
Then Yazmyrat Atamyradov, representing the Balkan velayat, spoke and expressed deep gratitude for the efforts made at the state level to ensure a prosperous and happy life for the people, and the development of all regions of the country. As noted, the issues discussed during today's meeting and the decisions taken will be of great importance for increasing the patriotism of young people, instilling in them a love for conscientious work.
Emphasizing once again that the upbringing of the younger generation has been a particularly important matter for the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag thanked the venerable elders for their successful work in this field, giving the floor to another participant in the meeting, representing the Balkan velayat.
Abdyrakhman Begjanov noted that in recent years much has been done in the country to establish the principles of a healthy lifestyle, and every possible concern is being shown for the physical health of young people. At the same time, it has become a good tradition to help children in need of care. This is another evidence that Turkmenistan pays close attention to the health of the nation, and especially the younger generation, Yashuli said, expressing sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar in this regard.
Stressing that the issue of protecting the health of young people is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that this work would be continued at the proper level in the future.
Then Hero-Arkadag heard the opinion of the elders representing Akhal velayat.
The representative of the above-mentioned region, Gurbangeldi Ailyev, noted with special pride that the principles of a healthy lifestyle are being strengthened in the country, cities and villages are turning into flourishing oases, and all Turkmen citizens, including young people, are taking part in this work. This fact clearly indicates that the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag received universal support and are now being successfully implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Serdar. Our close-knit people are unanimously involved in all good deeds calculated for the long term.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, also noted that at present, the issues of ensuring environmental safety have acquired particular relevance throughout the world. For their successful solution, large-scale work has been launched in Turkmenistan, which gives positive results.
The next speaker was Shaberdi Amansaparov from Akhal velayat. On behalf of the participants of the first meeting of the Council of Elders under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, he expressed gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar for the opportunity to take part in this forum organized at the state level. This is a visible confirmation of the worthy continuation of the primordial traditions of our people in accordance with the spirit of the times.
In this context, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that, despite the fact that this Charitable Foundation was established not so long ago, a lot of work has already been done to achieve the set goals.
In continuation of the meeting, the floor was given to the elders from the city of Ashgabat.
The representative of the capital, Rejepmammet Ataev, proudly noted that large-scale work is currently underway in the country to ensure the harmonious development of the younger generation. The state is doing everything possible to ensure that young people can discover and realize their talents, for which the most favorable conditions are created. This inspires the youth and encourages them to achieve their great goals, new labor victories.
Noting that it is a gratifying fact that young Turkmen people are engaged in conscientious work, hard work in the production sector, Hero-Arkadag stressed the need to take further steps in this direction.
Then the representative of Ashgabat, Orazmuhammet Khodjatov, spoke, who emphasized that the Turkmen state stands up for its children and youth. This increases the joy and pride of the older generation, testifies to the continuation of the noble traditions of the ancestors in the new era.
Expressing sincere gratitude to all those who spoke for their active life position, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the Turkmen people at all times in their history were committed to humanism. These wise traditions continue successfully today.
In 2021, all children's departments of hospitals in velayats, etraps and cities of the country received new modern ambulances equipped with the necessary specialized equipment, and operations were performed at clinics in the capital and regions at the expense of the Charity Fund. It has become a good tradition to pay for the costs of treatment and purchase of medical equipment from this Fund.
The legal substantiation of the activities of the Charitable Foundation and the Council of Elders under it will give their work a powerful impetus. As Hero-Arkadag noted, now, in the era of high technology, the necessary efforts should be made so that the younger generation masterfully mastered modern science. At the same time, it is imperative to pay attention to the education of young people, guided by the accumulated rich national experience.
Today, special importance is attached to strengthening of the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society. For this, modern health and entertainment centers, well-equipped sports schools, stadiums, and sports grounds have been created. Making them accessible to our citizens is the main task of the present time.
Noting that the planting campaigns held in different parts of the country are of great importance for ensuring environmental well-being, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh stressed the importance of the active participation of the people, and especially young people, in this activity.
Addressing the elders participating in the meeting, Hero-Arkadag noted that regular meetings and conversations with young Turkmen citizens bring good results. At present, we are building kindergartens and comprehensive schools equipped according to international standards in all parts of the country. This testifies to the continuity of national humanistic traditions and their combination with the best practices of our time, said Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh.
