Turkmen masters of Thai boxing won five medals at the international tournament in Turkey

Five medals - 1 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze - were won by Turkmen athletes at the international Thai boxing tournament that ended today in Antalya (Turkey).

According to the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, the competitions in Turkey brought together 756 fighters from 32 countries. Turkmenistan was represented by 9 athletes, five of which received awards of various denominations.

Gold in our team in the weight category up to 86 kg was won by the Thai boxing coach of the 2nd sports school of the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Ashgabat Mustafa Saparmyradov.

The second-year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Bashim Bashimov (up to 60 kg) and students of the same university Muhammet Jumamyradov (up to 81 kg) and Dovletmyrat Guyjov (over 91 kg) became silver medalists. Muhammet is in his 5th year, and Dovletmyrat is in his 4th year.

The kickboxing coach of the 4th sports school of the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Ashgabat Muhammetberdi Rovshenov (up to 91 kg) received a bronze medal.
