Opportunities of consolidation and expansion of interstate cooperation were reviewed on the meetings held during the visits of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine to Turkmenistan in May 2012 and December 2015. The delegation of the MFA of our country made working visit to Palestine city of Ramalla in May of the current year where bilateral negotiations were held, by which results the Programme for cooperation for 2016 – 2017 was signed.
Work for opening of the Embassy of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan is an evidence of steadfast development of interstate relations. Having touched the subject of bilateral partnership under international organizations, the Vice-premier noted that our country supports the Resolutions on humanitarian issues related to Palestine and presented for review by the UN General Assembly.
Priority directions of bilateral relations in terms of modern realities and perspectives will be included to the agenda of high-level Turkmen – Palestinian negotiations in Ashgabat. By its results, it is planned to sign number of documents aimed at consolidation and expansion of interstate cooperation in all spectrum.

In this relation, Draft Resolution for adoption of Provision on compulsory third party insurance of civil liability of motor vehicles owners was presented for review of the President of Turkmenistan.

Official visit of Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe to Turkmenistan in October 2015 gave strong impulse to Turkmen – Japanese relations. During the visit, number of bilateral documents including those related to cooperation in financial sphere, public health and medical industry, oil and gas sector, electrical energy, chemical industry as well as in development of railroad transport, water management, science, education, culture were signed and relevant arrangements were achieved.
In particular, these documents stipulate realization of large joint projects – construction of modern gas processing and chemical complexes as well as other industrial facilities.
In this relation, the Vice-premier reported on work undertaken in this direction.

At the same time, harvest of remained cotton on the fields and processing of raw material at cotton ginning facilities undergo. Settlements of accounts with cotton growers are carried out. As for today, around 61 thousand tons of rice were harvested in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats. The harvest of sugar beet in Balkan and Mary velayats reched 21.5 thousand tons from 1100 hectares.
The Vice-premier also reported on course of construction of international quarantine centre in Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat. Its total area is 40 hectares. Along with six stables for 120 horses, veterinary block, administration building, riding tracks, show jumping ground and forage storages were built there.

Thus, Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in this sphere for 2012 – 2016 between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and Federal Ministry of Health Protection of the FRG as well as relative Agreement between above mentioned ministry and the Grosharden Hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich is steadily implemented. Six profile forums, three in our country and three in the FRG, were held during fruitful cooperation with German partners for 2011 – 2016.
