The Architecture and Construction university of Turkmenistan entered the world ranking THE World University Rankings-2024

The Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction is ranked in the 20th edition of the world university ranking THE World University Rankings-2024 with the status of «reporter».

The authoritative ranking annually ranks the best universities in the world according to the British publication Times Higher Education (THE). Universities are ranked in all their main areas of activity. This year, several additional evaluation criteria were introduced into the methodology of the world university rankings. Overall, the results of the universities are determined based on 18 performance indicators, which are grouped into five leading areas: teaching, research quality, research environment, international perspectives and industry.

Every year, the global list of universities is replenished with new participants who strive to join the ranks of the world's leading universities, increase their authority, demonstrate active development and success in achieving the highest performance indicators.

The first edition of the THE ranking was published in 2004, when the number of its participants was only 200. The new, 20th edition of the THE World University Rankings-2024 includes 1904 universities from 108 countries.

Turkmen universities actively participate in THE rankings and increasingly occupy positions on their lines. For example, last year a number of higher schools in Turkmenistan, including the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, were included in THE World University Rankings and Impact Rankings. The latter evaluates universities in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), formulated by the United Nations and aimed at improving the level of social and economic development in countries around the world.
