The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is accredited in Turkmenistan

Today, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairwoman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Turkmenistan M. Amanul Haq.

On behalf of the head of state, the head of the national Parliament congratulated the plenipotentiary representative of a friendly country on his appointment to a responsible post, wishing him success in fulfilling the important diplomatic mission entrusted to him.

Expressing his gratitude for the kind words, Mr. Amanul Haq conveyed cordial greetings from the top leadership of Bangladesh to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, extending wishes for well-being and prosperity to the entire Turkmen people.

During the conversation, the Ambassador was informed in detail about the main directions of the internal policy and foreign policy pursued by independent neutral Turkmenistan, focused on broad mutually beneficial partnership with all countries of the world, including the countries of the Asian region. Special emphasis was placed on the socio-economic transformations and comprehensive programs being carried out in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, designed to ensure the progressive progress of the state and society.

During the exchange of views on current issues of bilateral cooperation, the presence of broad prospects for intensifying interaction in the trade and economic sphere was emphasized. Along with this, it was noted that cultural and humanitarian ties are an integral component of the interstate dialogue.

The diplomat was familiarized with the structure of the Mejlis and its activities, including the practice of establishing inter-parliamentary contacts. In this context, the interest of both countries in stimulating interaction through legislative bodies was expressed.

Emphasizing that it is a great honour for him to represent the People's Republic of Bangladesh in neutral Turkmenistan, which is implementing a peaceful, creative policy that has won recognition and support from the international community, the Ambassador assured that, for his part, he will fully contribute to the development of fruitful, traditionally friendly interstate relations.
