The Sixth Central Asian Expert Forum "Central Asia: Features of Interaction" started its work in Bishkek on October 12 this year.

The National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was the organizer of the regular meeting of leading analysts and experts of the region with the assistance of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

In total, more than 60 specialists representing the Central Asian region were invited to the conference.

Among the guests were heads and experts of the strategic research institutes of the region, representatives of governments, ministries and departments of their countries, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, representatives of the media.

The general plenary meeting and thematic sessions will be held in the modern Hyatt Regency Bishkek Hotel.

The sessions will feature reports and presentations by heads and experts of strategic research institutes, as well as independent expert organizations.

Each session will conclude with a panel discussion, answers to questions from participants.

At the first session, entitled "Towards deepening cooperation between the Central Asian countries, growing confidence and sustainable development", Turkmenistan will be represented by Shiri Shiriev, Head of the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the session, experts will exchange views on controversial issues of building effective cooperation between the countries of the region.

Dovletmyrat Mammedov, a researcher of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, will also present his report covering issues of regional cooperation at the forum.

Before leaving for Bishkek, the Head of the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Shiri Shiriev said that the center's staff, despite the short period of its existence, has already accumulated considerable experience in working at such forums.

In this regard, it is worth noting that last year the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the previous Fifth Expert Forum of the region, and successfully held it.
