The Turkmen State Institute of Finance conducted the V Online Olympiad in Economics among students of higher educational institutions in the country, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national manat.
The Olympiad was held in the form of individual and team competitions, with the participation of 64 students from 16 universities of Turkmenistan.
Merdan Babamuradov, a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, won the first place in the individual standings.
The second places were awarded to Ogulmaysa Amandurdyeva, a student of the same university, and Nazar Seyidov, a student of the Institute of Engineering – Technical and Transport Communications of the country.
The third places were shared by Jeyhun Mukhammetdurdyev (Turkmen State Institute of Finance), Bereket Shatlykov (Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov), and Berdimyrat Berdyev (Turkmen Agricultural Institute).
The students of the Financial Institute were leaders in the team standings. The second place was awarded to the team of Turkmen Agricultural Institute. The third place was taken by the students of the Institute of Engineering-Technical, and Transport Communications. The team results were determined based on the total points of their participants.
The winners and participants were awarded diplomas corresponding to their achievements.
The Olympiad aims to stimulate the interest of young people in studying economics, identify young talents, deepen practical skills, reinforce theoretical knowledge in the subject, develop independent work skills, and expand student interaction, including through information and communication technologies.
The Olympiad is organized as part of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan.
