The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the second game of the qualifying round of the third season of the intellectual competition among high school students of the country «Young Messengers of Peace», conducted by the university and the School of Young Diplomats within it.

The second game of the third season of the project, designated by the motto «The Teachings of the Great Magtymguly Pyragy - a national light of universal human values» in honour of the 300^th anniversary of the poet, was dedicated to the topic «International relations and diplomacy of the Safavid state in the late 17^th – early 18^th centuries».

Based on this, thematic questions were prepared for the eight participants of the second game concerning the life and work of the greatest poet and philosopher of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, as well as the formation and development of the national school of diplomacy in the era of the Safavid state.

In the intellectual confrontation, students of 10-11 grades of schools in Ashgabat, Mary, Balkan, Lebap and Dashoguz velayat adequately demonstrated their talents and abilities, deep knowledge of topics.

The performances of the participants were evaluated by members of a competent jury, which included Begench Garayev, Candidate of Philosophy, senior lecturer at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Orazpolat Ekayev, Candidate of Historical Sciences, chief researcher at the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Amannepes Shyhnepesov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Head of the Department of Turkmen Literature at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

By decision of the panel of judges, the winners of the second game of the third season of the project were named two participants who most clearly showed themselves in the competition, demonstrated broad erudition, activity, leadership qualities and self-confidence. This is Gulnar Ballyyeva, a 10^th grade student at the Ashgabat specialized boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy and Myusir Gutlymyradova, an 11^th grade student at specialized secondary school № 22 with in-depth study of English, physics and mathematics in the city of Balkanabat, Balkan velayat.

The winners, as well as all participants in the competition, were awarded certificates of honour from the IIR of the country's MFA, as well as valuable gifts from the sponsors of the game - the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences named after Magtymguly of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the National Shooting Federation of Turkmenistan from onions, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as «Abadan haly» JSC, «Aýdyň gijeler», «Muhammet Balkan», «Ýedi Dogan», «Duwmejik» and «Balşeker».

Traditionally, the filming and recording of the game was carried out by employees of the national TV channel «Miras» and representatives of the training studio of the IIR MFA of the country. The spectacular competition will be broadcast for Turkmen television viewers in the coming days.
