A new collection of the poet's selected works in Azerbaijani language was presented within the framework of the conference dedicated to the 300^th anniversary of the birth of great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Pyragy held on November 17 at the Fizuli Manuscripts Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

The book was prepared for publication by Professor Ramiz Asker, a renowned translator of Magtymguly's poems from Turkmen into Azerbaijani and an expert in the issues of his creative heritage. Ramiz Asker was also the editor of the book "Magtymguly Pyragy. Selected Works" from the series "TÜRKSOY Library", published in Ankara in 2010.

He was awarded the medal of Turkmenistan "Magtymguly Pyragy" for his great merits in the study, dissemination and promotion of the creative heritage of the great son of the Turkmen people, and is also a laureate of the competition for the "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" award. In 2015, the Fizuli Manuscripts Institute published "Diwan" by Magtymguly Pyragy. The 600-page book, translated into Azerbaijani and prepared through transliteration, included previously unpublished poems by the poet. The presentation of the book "Diwan" by Magtymguly Pyragy in Azerbaijani language was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan with the participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan.

The new book "Magtymguly. Selected Works" in Azerbaijani language has been prepared for printing in cooperation with scientists of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, who reviewed this work, and released by the academic publishing house "Ylym".

The Turkmen scientists who participated in its presentation within the framework of the conference in Baku dedicated to the 300^th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly consider this event as one of the brightest evidences of successfully developing scientific and cultural cooperation between the two fraternal nations. They note great interest in works of Magtymguly, which is of global importance in Azerbaijan and all over the world. Therefore, the publication of the classical poet's works and scientific research works devoted to his creative heritage will be continued.
