Teachers and students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction completed a mobile training course at the Centre for Repair and Maintenance of Power Equipment in the Buzmeyin etrap of Ashgabat.

Teachers of the Department of «Production Automation» and students majoring in «Automation of Production and Technological Processes» were familiarized in detail with the structure and activities of the Centre. They visited specialized workshops, laboratories and other premises. The company’s specialists demonstrated to the guests the operation of multifunctional specialized equipment, including those designed for testing, checking and cleaning gas turbine parts in various ways.

During the training event, experts noted that thanks to the Centre’s activities, there is no need to send turbine parts for repairs abroad. To modernize turbines, the enterprise has installed «General Electric» technologies, which save money by increasing fuel efficiency and make it possible to extend the service life of equipment.

Advanced systems for identifying invisible defects in equipment being repaired using the method of spraying a special indicator substance - fluorescent or red penetrant - were presented to the attention of teachers and students. It was emphasized that the industrial robot from «FANUC Robotics Europe S.A.» is intended for such types of work. – one of the world's leading companies in the field of industrial automation.

Representatives of the institute were also visually familiarized with other production processes at the Centre, designed to repair the main equipment of powerful energy facilities built in all regions of the country.

The training was conducted in order to expand and deepen specialized knowledge, develop practical skills, form professional competencies and improve the level of training of young specialists in the energy industry.

Let us remind you that the Centre for Repair and Maintenance of Energy Equipment of the specialized production association «Türkmenenergoabatlaýyş» of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan is a unique and unique facility in its profile in all of Central Asia, which was put into operation in July last year.
