Preparations are underway for the Youth Conference and Exhibition scheduled for the end-of-year in Turkmenistan, which will showcase and duly recognize the achievements of the younger generation in various fields and their contributions to the country's development and further strengthening of its position in the international arena. Young scientists are making their contribution to innovative development and digital transformation of the economy, as well as the implementation of state programs for import substitution and increasing national exports.

Following the "State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Chemical Science and Technology in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025," young scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan are striving to develop new technologies for producing import-substituting products based on the effective use of local raw materials.

One of the technologies developed by one of the young scientist of the Institute, graduate student Gadam Amanov, holds significant economic value. It involves the production of liquid paraffins, which are mainly imported for various purposes. Based on research conducted at the Institute of Chemistry, the most suitable method for producing liquid paraffin from local raw materials was selected under laboratory conditions.

Using samples of hydrocarbon raw materials imported from oil and gas condensate fields, 92.39% pure liquid paraffin was obtained through zeolite adsorption. This liquid paraffin was proposed for use in the production of fertilizers at the Garlyk Potassium Plant. After testing in the company's production laboratory, the development of the young scientist received a positive assessment and a certificate for its applicability in industrial conditions.

In the future, the implementation of the production of liquid paraffins from local raw materials based on the technology developed by young scientists from the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan will meet the demand for this chemical substance in many sectors of the national economy of the country. It will enable the replacement of imported goods and establish the export of highly demanded chemical products to foreign markets.
