A joint meeting of the Central and velayat organizing committees for holding the State Olympiad in Foreign Languages among students of short-term language courses in educational institutions of various forms of ownership was held at the Innovation and Information Centre of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the meeting, held in a hybrid format, discussed the main directions and rules for preparing tasks for participants of different levels of proficiency in Russian and English, determined the requirements for competition participants, the procedure for their passage to the second and third stages of the Olympiad, the format of their conduct and other organizational issues.

The first stage of the State Olympiad in Foreign Languages is planned to be held on the 4^th of February in educational centers. The second stage, scheduled for the 18^th of February, will be held for participants from Ashgabat and Ahal velayat at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azady, in the Balkan velayat - on the basis of the branch of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev in Balkanabat, in Dashoguz velayat - at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, in Lebap velayat - at the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after. Seyitnazar Seydi, in Mary velayat - at the Turkmen State Energy Institute in Mary. The final, third stage of the State Olympiad in Foreign Languages is planned to be held on the 10^th of March at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azady.

For the organized conduct of the event, an organizing committee, a main panel of judges and a working group of observers have been created. The organizing committees of the Olympiad included leaders and representatives of many private educational and language centers of Turkmenistan. The organizers already have experience in holding the State Olympiad in Foreign Languages - it was first organized last year, and now it will be held annually.
