During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in the information sphere, including the possibility of further interaction in the context of publishing materials about the domestic and foreign policies of Turkmenistan on the platform of the media holding.

As part of the exchange of views, Ambassador of Turkmenistan B.Durdyev informed the Korean side about the large-scale transformations currently taking place in our country. Special attention was paid to issues of state information policy.

The Turkmen side emphasized the importance of establishing work with news agencies of the Republic of Korea. The main area of cooperation is the exchange of news and information materials on current events and achievements of the two countries.

The Ambassador also noted that the year 2024 in Turkmenistan is held under the motto “Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi,” which implies the holding of various events, both at the national and international levels, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker of the East. It was especially emphasized that a clear indication of the world recognition of Magtymguly’s work is the announcement of this year by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) as “The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World – Magtymguly Fragi”. In addition, the Ambassador noted during the meeting that this year the ancient Turkmen city of Anau was declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world.
