On January 31, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia D.Seitmammedov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia A.Khvtisiashvili.

During the meeting, the parties noted the active growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations, based on regular political dialogue, strengthening economic ties, close interaction in the field of energy, transport and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

At the same time, the meeting participants especially emphasized the dynamic nature of the established inter-parliamentary relations and the maintenance of dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

The Ambassador especially noted that this year the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi is solemnly celebrated at the international level, in connection with which 2024 in Turkmenistan has been declared the year - “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi”.

The parties also discussed issues of holding joint events dedicated to the life and work of the great writer, which will help strengthen the cultural and humanitarian dialogue between our countries.
