Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the State Committee on Statistics of Turkmenistan, together with colleagues from other Central Asian countries, took part in a webinar on standardizing data collected in the health sector.

The webinar was organized by the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization as part of its activities on the digitalization of healthcare.

The participants got acquainted with the experience of Georgia and Kazakhstan in this area, discussed the features of mapping accounting and reporting forms. In healthcare, standardization is critical to ensuring patient safety.

Standardization refers to the process of establishing a set of guidelines or protocols that healthcare providers follow to ensure that all patients receive the same level of care. The standards provide a framework for healthcare professionals.
