Turkmen athletes prepare for the Summer Olympics in Paris

A link Paris-2024 has been created on the official website of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, which will cover the latest news of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games and XVII Paralympic Games, which will be held in France from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

In accordance with the Decree of the President, an Organizing Committee has been established to train qualified athletes and national teams to participate in high-level competitions. Turkmen athletes are actively preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games, improving their professional skills to qualify for Paris.

What do you need to know before the start of the 2024 Olympics?

The mascot of the Summer Games is chosen as the Phrygian cap, a bright symbol of the French Republic. For the French people, it represents freedom.

Phrygians are painted in the colors of the country's flag - red, white, and blue. They are adorned with the golden Paris-2024 logo on their chest. The eyes of the Phrygians are made in the form of a French cockade - a tricolor rosette, which is the national French ornament.

The Paris-2024 Organizing Committee has also presented the visual design of the Olympic Games and pictograms for 62 sports.

Breaking or breakdance will become a new discipline presented at the Paris Games. As a sport, it combines urban dance with incredible athleticism. Breaking is included in the disciplines of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF).

Only 32 athletes (16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls) will compete for the first-ever Olympic medals in breaking.

The Paris-2024 hospitality program has been launched since January 2024.

The online platform provides guests of the Olympic Games with the opportunity to purchase personalized hospitality packages, which include guaranteed tickets to sports events and a wide range of additional services. These include hotels, transportation, unique tours of Olympic facilities, stadiums and the capital of France.

For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the opening ceremony will not be taking in a stadium. The parade of athletes will be organized on boats along the river. National teams will sail 6 km along the Seine through the city center, and then gather at the stadium in the Trocadéro Park to light the Olympic flame.
