On the 16th of March, a spring landscaping campaign starts in Turkmenistan. The corresponding resolution was signed by the head of state during meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

    The large-scale greening initiative launched by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, carried out in our country, continues successfully under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. All landscaping activities are implemented in accordance with the National Forestry Program of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025.

The nationwide environmental campaign, traditionally held in spring and autumn, is aimed at increasing the area of green spaces and improving the quality of the urban environment.

Students, representatives of public organizations and workers in various fields take an active part in the greening campaign.

As previously reported, in 2024, 1.5 million seedlings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes will be planted in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. Including another 1.5 million seedlings will be planted in the regions of the country. Thus, the total number of trees planted per year will be 3 million.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection is instructed to provide sufficient quantities of grape seedlings and three-year-old tree seedlings to ministries, industry departments, hakimliks of velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as to monitor the planting and care for them.
