Aman Agajikov’s B Flat Minor Symphony sounds in Grand Hall of Turkmen National Conservatory

It was performed by symphonic orchestra of the conservatory under the baton of People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Ashyr Hojatov during the concert dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in 1941 – 1945 war.

People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, Composer Aman Agajikov wrote his B Flat Minor symphony in 1971 in honour of the heroes of the war. One can divine the feelings that people had when they stood up to protect their land against treacherous enemy – anxious turmoil, heroism of the Motherland defenders, sorrow and grief for war victims and triumph of the Victory, which is significant event in national memory and history.


B Flat Minor symphony performed by symphonic translates rich metaphoric and stirring polyphony of the feelings driving the audience into the atmosphere of heroic times and Great Victory.

This year, bright representatives of national composer school, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Aman Agajikov would be 80. As a tribute to his memory, his another nine works were included in the programme of the concert. These are songs and romances, arioso from Sona and Disturbed Night operas. They were performed by Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdiyevas well as by Sona Kurbanova, Agajan Genjimov, Shirinjan Kurbanova and others. People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, gyjak player Annageldy Julgayev presented compositions “Separation” and “Don’t Ask Me”, having risen the storm of visitors applause by heartfelt play that expresses composition of thoughts, feelings and imagery.


The ode “Dear Motherland” by Rejep Allayarov for soloists, chorus and symphonic orchestra was also performed during the concert. The ode “Our Arkadag” by Suhan Tuyliyev and lyrics by Atamurad Atabayev for soloists, chorus and symphonic orchestra was the final play of the concert. Ashyr Hojatov waved the baton and the melody, fast as an arrow and light as gracious tread of ahalteke horse, flew to the hall. This is a music about modern Turkmenistan creating great future.

Composer Suham Tuyliyev was receiving numerous congratulations of his colleagues on successful première of the composition that absorbed the emotionality of feelings and rhythms of achievements.
