Lectures for teachers and students of journalism departments are held in Ashgabat

The latest trends in the media are jointly discussed during lectures led by foreign experts by teachers and students of journalism departments of a number of Turkmen universities.

A course of lectures on the topic «Modern journalism and communication tools» is being held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and organized by the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat from the 1st to 3rd of May.

Representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the International University of Humanities and Development, and the Turkmen State Institute of Culture take part in the meetings.

Lectures were held for teachers and students on such topics as «Introduction to journalism and modern media on a global scale», «How the media work in Europe and other countries» and others. Thematic lectures were given to the audience by a foreign expert, Professor Sean Crowley.

During the event, participants get acquainted in detail with modern processes of transformation in the media space, methods of transmitting information, current directions in the development of means of communication, etc.

At the end of each lecture, an active and lively dialogue takes place between students and the lecturer in a question-answer format.
