A series of sports events will be organized in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day celebrated on June 3, which was established in 2018 on the initiative of our country by the UN General Assembly.

Deputy Prime Minister N. Amannepesov reported at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that the Turkmenistan Track Cycling Championship will take place from May 27 to June 3 in the Olympic Village of Ashgabat. From May 31 to June 3, a 335 km bicycle marathon is also planned with the participation of the national team along a special route on the section of the high-speed highway Mary-Tejen-Ashgabat. And on June 3, a mass bike ride is planned in the capital.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to appropriately prepare for the wide and solemn celebration of World Bicycle Day, as well as to hold physical culture and sports events in the capital and velayats on the occasion of this holiday at the proper level.
