An online competition to test cyber resilience and exchange experience at the international level took place as part of the "Digitalization of Industrial Russia" conference.
The championship, held in two stages, brought together 40 teams from different countries. Seven teams from Russia, Turkmenistan, and Myanmar made it to the finals.
During the cyber championship, teams competed in repelling hacker attacks on the IT infrastructure of an important facility. Solving complex tasks simulating real cyber threats, the "Turkmentelekom" team consisting of five specialists coped with the set goals and took third place, scoring 2015 points. The first two places were taken by teams from Russia.
The top three teams received certificates for using information security products from GK "Solar" and the technological partners of the cyber championship, "Security Code" and "Kaspersky Lab".
The International Cyber Championship, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and Rostelecom, is held to develop practical skills of interaction between information security specialists, coordinate efforts to combat global cybercrime, and develop the international community through the exchange of experience in responding to cyber attacks.
Specialists demonstrate their readiness to repel threats, mastery of advanced technologies, tools and tactics, as well as teamwork coordination.
