Since early morning, the students of the Akpamyk Studio School organized the children’s drawing contest at the Museum of Fine Arts. Children covered up the big part of the front entrance with the drawings made by coloured chalks. Young painters dedicated the most part of their works to the 2017 Asian Games, demonstrating their skills as well as the knowledge of the symbols of sports included into the programme of the Asian Games.

The main hall of the museum, where the works of the students of Abadan Children's Art School No. 2 were exhibited, was decorated with colourful balloons - the attributes of a happy childhood. The canvases created by young artists depicted the generous gifts of our nature, modern city landscapes of the white-marble Ashgabat, flowers and yet most of the drawings were devoted to the forthcoming V Asian Games. That proves that children, like other citizens of our country, are looking forward for the exciting sport battles.

The exhibition of works by famous Turkmen artists dedicated to the International Children's Day was arranged on the second floor. It opened with the picture by Gennady Babikov "Flowers". The artist portrayed a group of carelessly playing children behind the huge ‘bouquet’ of a blossoming bush. Flowers and children are a symbolic combination. Flowers are usually associated with joy, and children - with the future. Therefore, it is this work that opened the thematic exposition devoted to our joyful future.

A great success was the participation of Chary Ovaev's work "Gulbaba" in the exhibition. The legendary Turkmen boy-bakhshi conquered not only Turkmenistan, but also Moscow with his talented singing. He gave brilliant hopes, but, unfortunately, his life broke off early. The children's award named Gulbaba, which is presented to talented performers and artistic groups was established in memory of this amazingly gifted child. Chary Ovayev depicted Gulbaba, inspiredly playing his faithful companion - dutar. The deep burgundy tone of the painting reflects the stylistic originality of the national school of painting.

Another remarkable picture is the work by the first-year student of the State Academy of Arts Azat Rejepov "Happy Generation". Five children from the height of a huge hill looking at the panorama of the capital. The artist depicted four children from the back, and one boy, looking around, looks at the audience with bright eyes. There is a lot of light, sun, air. The picture radiates kindness and confidence in the beautiful future of the little heroes of the canvas.

A talented student got the opportunity to continue art education in China - a country extremely rich in traditions in art, including painting.

The exhibition also showcased the works dedicated to the motherhood, family traditions, children's fun and dreams, what makes a happy, sparkling joy childhood of each child.
