President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session in International Broadcasting and Press centre of the Olympic village forestalled by demonstration of the video about the events in Mary on occasion of 100-day countdown until the beginning of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
Vice-Premier A. Garajayev reported on the programme of the events and preparation to International media forum “Asian Games 2017 in the World Press” timed to this date. The Vie-Premier informed that mass media representatives from 39 country would participate in this forum.
Having listened to the report, the President of Turkmenistan gave number of specific objectives to the Vice-Premier on high organizational level of the events on occasion of 100-day countdown until the beginning of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and sport media forum.
It was mentioned that Ashgabat Asian Games in September of this year are to play an important role in improvement of international authority of our country, popularization of its achievements in sports and consolidation of fraternal and friendly relations between the people.
Reports of the leaders on high level organization of the ceremonies, sports and cultural events of 2017 Asian Games as well on management and efficient use of the facilities of the Olympic village were given during the session.
In particular, Hyakim of Ashgabat, Sh. Durdiliyev presented the proposal on foundation of the Olympic village special department under the capital administration.
It was highlighted that based on the analysis, made by the State Committee for Sports in accordance with the assignment of the Head of the State, as well as by unanimous opinion of leaders, coaches of national sports federations of Turkmenistan and specialists and experts of International and Asian sports federations, the Asian Olympic Committee, by the results of test competitions with participation of foreign delegations in 2016 – 2017, all facilities of Ashgabat Olympic village are fully complied with high requirements for large international, continental and world sports competitions.
The Olympic Village Department under the hyakimlik of Ashgabat is suggested for further competent management , organization of municipal services and maintenance of the infrastructure taking into account the presence of all necessary material, technical and organization resources of the city administration.
By the initial calculations, 1273 new work occupancies will be created in the buildings and facilities to be transferred under jurisdiction of the Department. The Department under the hyakimlik of Ashgabat is planned to be located in the business centre of the Olympic village.
Having approved the proposal and signed the resolution, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the facilities of the Olympic village would be actively used after completion of the Games. In this regard, it is necessary now to stipulate all issues related to the management and formation of large active leisure and health improvement centre on the base of these facilities and to organizations of public cultural and sports events and competitions.
Issues of informational support and coverage of 2017 Asian Games, other tasks in numerous other directions stipulated by the General plan of the Games were reviewed during the session.
Deputy Chairman of the cabinet of Ministers O. Gurbannazarov reported on organization of catering service during V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and informed on the outcomes of the tender won by domestic private company what indicates the growing professionalisms and expanding capabilities of Turkmen entrepreneurship.
The Head of the State signed the Resolution Resolution allowing the Executive Committee of the Games to make contract with «Gül Zaman» Business Association, which is a member of the Consortium, and «Gourmet Sports Hospitality AG» from Switzerland on provision of catering services during Asian Games.
Organization of the Games have to be built and supported on the newest scientific and technical level and modern organizational approaches, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted giving instructions on provision of unexceptionable service of the most large-scale sports event of the year, which would serve to improvement of international authority of Turkmenistan that was the first in the region to receive the right to conduct Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
Summing up the discussion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted again that provision of long-term effect of the Games for the country and for the region in social and economic aspect, diplomatic and humanitarian spheres, sports, tourism, peace-making policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan is our most responsible objective as the organizers and hosts of 2017 Asian Games.
