Upon arrival in the Olympic village, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was met by the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, the Executive Committee for preparation of V Asian Games, Hyakim of Ashgabat and the Head of Turkish company “Polimeks”, which is building this unique facility.

The Olympic village accommodates 12 000 people. Foreign sportsmen, coaches, doctors, technical personnel of the delegations, mass media representatives will stay there. The living sector is composed of twenty 12-store buildings grouped in blocks. One of them, consisting of six houses, was built during the second phase of construction of the village and is able to accommodate 3247 people in 1628 apartments. around 8800 sportsmen will stay in two- and three-bedroom apartments of 14 houses built during the third phase.
The areas of comfortly equipped apartments varies between 75 to 148 sq. m. every block has apartments specially designed for the people with limited physical capabilitis. The buildings are equipped with elevators and modern living and service systems.
The Leader of the Nation visited one of the houses and went up to the second floor where he inspected living premises familiarizing in details with the conditions for comfort living and rest. For example, one of the three-bedroom apartments (with one, two and four beds in each bedroom) has common kitchen and bathroom as well as separate bathroom in one of the bedrooms.
Assessing the amenities of the apartments, the Head of the State noted the design in light colours, which please the eye, and highlighted that it is important to create an atmosphere of home comfort, which has to be felt by our guests.
After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the ground floor of the building, where one can stay with comfort during check-in, take some rest of soft coaches and order cap of tea or soft drink, light desert and enjoy his time paging through newspaper and waiting for his friends and companions. Having checked the amenities of waiting hall with the reception, the Head of the State left the building.
There is also a cultural centre among the facilities of the Olympic village, designated for rest of the sportsmen, with canteen for 56 seats, restaurant for 171 seats, cinema for 130 seats, café for 128 seats as well as museum, library, barber shop, music studio, bank, shop, public service and post office.
After, the Head of the State visited the canteen for the sportsmen. This is main catering facility for 2064 seats in the Olympic campus and located on two floors. The first floor occupies 5000 sq. m. and the second one 4600 sq. m. There are two elevators and escalator.
Taking into account national culture and cuisine traditions of the countries participating in 2017 Asian Games, the canteen will present Asian, European, vegetarian and Turkmen food.

All conditions for reception by the specialists like tuberculosis specialist, cardiologist, oculist, dentist, otolaryngologist, dietitian and others were made there. There are gym for medicinal physical training, swimming pool, reflexology and acupuncture, infrared radiation, electrical, vacuum, galvanic therapy, inhalation, laser procedures, ozone, paraffin and mineral wax rooms in the building. Top modern analytical equipment is installed in the laboratories. Cafe for 44 seats for the visitors and eight rooms for the patients are located there.
During Asian Games, highly qualified German different medical specialists are invited to render first aid to the sportsmen in case of injuries.
Sports doctors will also monitor the conditions of the athletes immediately at the place of competitions. The Head of the State noted that level of medical service of the Games is very important in successful organization of the competitions.
Scientific and research centre and training centre are located in one three-store building occupying more than 706 sq. m. 23 people are supposed to work there. The training centre is designed for 44 students with methodology and seminar rooms. The buiding has small conference hall and canteen with kitchen.
In the laboratories of scientific and research centre, the specialists told to the President of Turkmenistan on highly sensitive and complicated apparatus from the famous world’s manufacturers and demonstrated the capabilities of advanced equipment.
Methods of analysis of biological sample applied there include computer identification allowing checking precisely functional condition of the organism.
Particularly, the main diagnostic cycle is provided by complex software from «Thermo Fisher Scientific» (USA), which is the world’s leader in research and lab equipment, chemical agents and medicines.

All the premises are grouped in special zones so the representatives of mass media would be able to work without interfering each other.

There are technical control room where the specialists will control the correspondence of the broadcasting with quality standards, signal distribution and central control room on the same floor. Signals Commutation Centre from commentators, air rooms working in 3G and 4K formats allowing broadcasting high-resolution video via cellular networks are located there. Separate office is stipulated for air broadcasting personnel.
There are also radio equipment room and radio air-broadcasting equipment room, service room, events editing equipment room, nonlinear editing, graphics, format transformation, material collection and description equipment room.
