Regular sessions of the Interstate Commission for sustainable development of the ISAF and the Council of the Management Board of the Central Asia Regional Ecology Centre as well as the meeting of the Regional Work Group with participation of the specialists of profile departments of the regional states dedicated to rational water use were organized within this forum.
It was mentioned that by the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs works on political, legal and organizational matters related with the chairmanship of our country in the International Fund for Saving of the Aral Sea. Particularly, according to the Provision on the International Fund of Saving of the Aral Sea adopted in April 1999 in Ashgabat by the resolution of the founder-states of the Fund, the Executive Committee of this organization was established. The main objectives of the Committee are the implementation of relative decisions, programmes and projects related to the Aral Sea region.
Draft documents on the above-mentioned subjects developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with other government institutions were presented for review to the Leader of the Nation.
Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted that the International Fund for Saving of the Aral Sea is a universal platform for fruitful cooperation and joining the efforts of the countries of the region for coming over the consequences of the Aral crisis and improvement of ecological, social and economic situation in the Aral Sea basin.

For fulfilment of the assignments given by the President of Turkmenistan on activation of the process of privatization of government enterprises and their transformation into joint stock ventures, the previously approved Lists were revised together with the ministries, departments and hyakimliks of velayats and Ashgabat.

The institute’s structure will include five faculties – the communal services, engineering networks and facilities, mechanical engineering, economy and management, qualification improvement, as well as 17 departments. 400 students are planned to start studying in 2017 – 2018.
In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that it is necessary to make all conditions in new education establishment for acquiring professional knowledge by the students, which they will be able to implement in future.
