The Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev hosted a literary and musical evening in memory of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi, marking the wide celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen literary classic's birth.

The cultural event was attended by Enegul Kakajanova, Attaché of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan; Arslan Charyev, Head of the International Department at the International University for the Humanities and Development; and Fauziya Kadyrova, Chairperson of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture "Turkmenistan."

The program of the literary and musical evening included readings of Magtymguly Fragi's poems in Turkmen and Russian, performances of national songs and folk dances, as well as musical instrument performances.

Student dance groups presented a magnificent performance of the Turkmen folk dance "Kushtdepdi," immersing everyone in the atmosphere of Turkmen culture. The folk art ensemble "Ethnosphere" delighted the audience with a dynamic dance "Volga." Another artistic surprise was a touching act performed to the song "Mother Earth."

Honored guests expressed their gratitude to Astrakhan State University for its active cooperation and support for students from Turkmenistan.

Astrakhan State University actively develops partnerships with educational institutions in Turkmenistan, placing special emphasis on preserving a unified cultural space. This plays an important role in strengthening friendly relations between countries, which are based on respect for the culture, traditions and languages of different peoples.

Earlier, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan with a delegation from the Astrakhan region, led by Vice-Governor and Chairman of the Government of the region Denis Afanasyev. During the dialogue, partnership vectors were discussed.

Key areas of cooperation in education were identified as fields related to technical specialties, including the oil and gas industry, specific sectors of agriculture, agronomy, scientific directions in the agrarian sector, as well as transport and logistics. Additionally, emphasis was placed on professions in ship navigation and shipbuilding, covering all stages—from ship design to specific working specialties.
