As the President of Turkmenistan emphasised in his speech at the forum: «An important component of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is the use of a model of neutrality, instruments of preventive diplomacy to prevent conflict situations and eradicate the causes that give rise to them. We are convinced that in the current conditions, the basic principles of neutrality are objectively in demand, and with the support of the world community, they can bring real benefits in ensuring global security».

In this context, the special significance and effectiveness of the activities of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, headquartered in Ashgabat, was also noted.
