A concert dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Bairamdurdi Khudaikuliev will be held at the Turkmen Conservatory

At the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory will be held a concert dedicated to the memory of the outstanding composer, conductor and teacher Bairamdurdi Khudaikuliev, who made a significant contribution in the development of choral art and choral conducting in the country.

The creative and performing heritage of Bairamdurdi Khudaikuliev, who devoted his life to the art of music, is continuously related with his educational work. Due to his talent, dedication to the work and ability to inspire his students, most of them achieved significant success in music. 

The memorable concert will be on November 22 at 18:00 p.m. It'll be a tribute and recognition of his irreplaceable contribution to music education of new generations of professionals. The Chamber Orchestra of the Turkmen National Conservatory under the artistic direction of Nuri Mukhiev and conducted by Kovus Byashimov will perform at the concert. Admission is free.

Bairamdurdi Khudaikuliev was born on February 5, 1939 in the Tejen etrap of the Akhal velayat in the daykhan's family. In 1957 he entered to the Turkmen State College with a degree in choral conducting, and then continued his education at the Tashkent State Conservatory (now The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan).

During his studies, he actively participated in music competitions which brought him recognition and awards. After graduation he began his professional career at the Turkmen State College named after D. Ovezov (now Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov under The Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva). He also worked as a chief conductor of the "Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Purli Sariev" at the State Phylarmonic.

From 1989-1992, he returned to the Turkmen State College where he worked as Head of the Choral department. In 1992, by the decree of the President of Turkmenistan he was appointed to the Vice-rector of the Turkmen National Conservatory, helding in this position until the end of his life.
