The "Merdana Nesil-2024" contest was held among 3rd to 5th-grade students from general education schools across the country in honor of the International Day of Neutrality and the 29th anniversary of the recognition of Turkmenistan's Permanent Neutrality by the UN General Assembly.
The event was organized by the Youth Organization of Bagtyyarlyk etrap in Ashgabat, with support from Turkmenistan's Ministry of Education and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

The first stage was dedicated to literary expression: participants recited works celebrating the bravery of the Turkmen people and love for their homeland. The second stage, featuring short humorous skits, added liveliness and a cheerful atmosphere to the contest. The final stage consisted of musical performances praising happy childhood, friendship and brotherhood.
The performances were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprising representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, the Bagtyyarlyk etrap Youth Organization, as well as renowned culture and art figures from the country.
The contest results were as follows: 1st place was awarded to Dowrangeldi Dowletgeldiyev, a 4th-grade student from Secondary School No. 124; 2nd place went to Emir Nurmyradov, a 4th-grade student from Specialized Secondary School No. 140 in Ashgabat; and 3rd place was secured by Yakub Charyev, a 5th-grade student from Secondary School No. 131.
