On 26 November 2024, the 175th session of the General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) was held in Paris. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

The session was attended by Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the BIE M.Charyev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan M.Gurdov, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the agenda of the event, the delegations’ reports on the progress of preparations for the upcoming international exhibitions were heard.

During the session, the delegation of Turkmenistan had a brief meeting with BIE Secretary General D.Kerkentzes. Within the framework of the conversation, the sides discussed bilateral relations in the context of Turkmenistan’s membership in the Administrative and Budgetary Committee of the organization. The representatives of Turkmenistan confirmed the commitment of our country to further development of relations and fruitful cooperation with the BIE.

D.Kerkentzes thanked the Turkmen side for its desire to strengthen cooperation and expressed the readiness of the BIE Secretariat to continue the fruitful joint work.
