Experts-employees of the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan annually expand the geography of their working contacts.
Not so long ago, university analysts were visited by colleagues from the Polish Center for Strategic Studies. And now a new meeting - Turkmenistan was visited by specialists from Italy. At the events scheduled by the protocol of their stay in Ashgabat, the guests were accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Mr. Luigi Ferrari. He also led an impressive delegation of Italian scientific experts at a meeting with colleagues from the Institute of International Relations.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Ambassador noted that this visit of Italian academic professors is a continuation of the events of the earlier Central Asia Plus Ministerial Conference. The guests were interested in the whole range of international relations between Italy and Turkmenistan: economic issues, energy resources, agriculture, and water issues. However, the priority topic, as stated at the meeting Professor Filippo Costa Buranelli, for them, the issues of education and, in particular, the education of students in higher education institutions.
The head of the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan answered the questions of the guests Shiri Akoylievich Shiryaev. Briefly, informing the guests about the work of the newly established Center at the university, he elaborated on all the issues of interest to Italian experts.
As expected at such expert meetings, the conversation took place in an atmosphere of openness and interest in developing further business contacts. The experts of Turkmenistan and Italy agreed to deepen ties after signing the relevant documents.
