International University for Humanities and Development Announces Winners of International Olympiads

The International University for Humanities and Development announced the results of the 1st International Philosophy Olympiad and the 1st International Economics Olympiad among students of higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries.

The Economics Olympiad was attended by 349 students from 20 higher educational institutions in our country and 396 students from 46 universities in 9 foreign countries, including Bulgaria, Cambodia, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Russia.

Turkmen students showed high results in this Olympiad, winning 31 gold, 126 silver and 120 bronze medals.

28 gold, 35 silver and 51 bronze medals were awarded to foreign participants from Uzbekistan, Cyprus, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Cambodia. It should be noted that the majority of awards were won by students from Uzbekistan.

The Philosophy Olympiad was attended by 365 students from 22 higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and 108 students from 33 universities of 15 foreign countries. Among them are Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Romania, Thailand, Turkey, the USA, Bulgaria, the UAE, Cambodia, Cyprus, Greece and Japan.

As a result of this Olympiad, turkmen students were awarded 36 gold, 63 silver and 129 bronze medals. The winners of 16 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals were students from universities in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Cambodia and Turkey.

The Olympiads were held online as individual competitions in one round. Participants in the intellectual competitions competed in two categories: A (students of different majors of study) and B (students not specializing in economics and philosophy).

International Olympiads are held to identify and support young talents, stimulate youth interest in studying science, provide career guidance to students and create positive conditions for their intellectual development.
