Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atakhalliyev and velayat khyakims to discuss the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the country, as well as the progress of the National Rural Program.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Akhal velayat S.Soltanmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal work in agriculture.

As reported, based on the instructions of the head of state to maintain food abundance in the domestic market, appropriate measures are being taken in the fields sown with wheat.

In addition, as part of the preparation for sowing cotton, plowing, harrowing and ridge raking continue in the allocated areas.

At the same time, everything necessary is being done to supply producers with high-quality seeds and ensure proper operational condition of the technical arsenal throughout the growing season.

In light of the upcoming spring planting of potatoes, vegetables and melons, the necessary seed material is being prepared, and land planning is being carried out.

The head of the velayat administration reported on measures to maintain the uninterrupted operation of electricity, gas and water supply systems for the population, as well as heating in social facilities. Along with this, it was informed on the pace of construction of infrastructure facilities scheduled for opening this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure full compliance with agricultural technology requirements during seasonal campaigns, as well as to organize preparations for spring sowing.

Separate instructions concerned quality control and the construction schedule of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Next, the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural work.

As reported, the fields sown with wheat are being properly maintained.

In addition, harrowing and ridge raking are being carried out to prepare areas for cotton. The preparation of high-quality seed for farmers and the proper operational condition of the equipment to be used in the spring are continuing.

Guided by the tasks of ensuring the abundance of vegetable and melon crops, measures are being taken to plan the land for subsequent planting after winter.

At the same time, everything necessary is being done to ensure the reliable operation of heating systems in residential buildings, educational institutions, cultural institutions, administrative buildings and social infrastructure facilities in general, uninterrupted supply of electricity, water and natural gas to the population. Information was also provided on the pace of construction of buildings scheduled to open this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the head of state ordered that the current seasonal activities be properly implemented, in particular, wheat care and preparation for the spring sowing of agricultural crops.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor the quality of work on new buildings scheduled to open in 2025 in accordance with the National Rural Program.

Next, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, in order to prepare for the sowing of cotton, plowing, harrowing, surveying and washing of the allocated areas are carried out.

High-quality seed material adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region is prepared for producers, equipment and units are brought into proper operational condition.

At the same time, preparations are underway for planting spring potatoes, vegetables, melons and other food crops.

The head of the regional administration reported on measures to maintain the functionality of electricity, gas and water supply systems for the population, as well as heating in housing and social infrastructure facilities. Information was provided on the progress of construction of structures scheduled to open this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure that seasonal activities in agriculture are carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards, as well as proper preparation for the spring sowing of crops.

Separate instructions concerned the high-quality and timely execution of work planned for the current year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

The working meeting continued with a report by the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov on the dynamics of seasonal campaigns.

As reported, in light of the intended goals for obtaining high yields of agricultural crops, appropriate seasonal activities are being carried out in the fields. Care continues in areas sown with wheat.

In order to obtain a rich harvest of “white gold”, plowing, harrowing, surveying, washing and fertilizing the soil with minerals are carried out in the allocated areas.

In light of the upcoming sowing, the procurement of selected cotton seeds continues, the technical arsenal is being brought into proper operational condition.

At the same time, plowing and harrowing of land for spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops is underway, and seed material is being prepared.

It was reported on measures to maintain the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings and public institutions in the region, uninterrupted electricity, gas and water supply to the population. Information was also provided on the pace of work on new buildings that are planned to be commissioned this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure high-quality implementation of seasonal campaigns within the agro-technical timeframes, which is the main factor in obtaining high yields.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor the progress of work within the framework of the implementation of the National Rural Program.

Next, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the pace of agricultural activities.

As reported, the areas sown with wheat are being cared for in accordance with agricultural technology.

In the fields allocated for cotton, the soil is being fertilized with phosphorus fertilizer, plowing, harrowing and ridge raking are being carried out.

The selected seed material necessary for producers is also being prepared, and repairs are being made to the equipment that will be used in the spring.

In light of the preparations for the upcoming planting of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops after winter, the areas for them are being planned and the seed material is being prepared.

Everything necessary is being carried out for the full harvest of sugar beet and its subsequent processing.

At the same time, measures are being taken to ensure the proper functioning of the electricity, gas and water supply systems of the population, as well as heating in residential buildings and social facilities. In addition, the dynamics of the implementation of the National Rural Program was reported.

Summarizing the information presented and focusing on the importance of the current seasonal campaigns in agriculture, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure their high-quality completion within the timeframes established by agricultural technology.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural work in the country.

As reported, care in the wheat fields is carried out in compliance with the requirements of agricultural technology.

As for preparations for cotton sowing, plowing of the allocated areas is nearing completion: harrowing, ridge-making, land surveying and flushing irrigation are subsequently carried out on the plots. Everything necessary is being done to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds.

To complete seasonal work within the specified timeframes, sowing and other equipment is brought into proper operational condition.

In light of the upcoming spring planting of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, plots are being planned and the necessary seed material is being prepared.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the agricultural sector faces such important tasks as supplying the population with high-quality agricultural products, as well as providing the national industry with raw materials. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to monitor the timely completion of current seasonal work and strict compliance with agricultural technology requirements during their implementation.

Further, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state focused on the campaigns launched in agriculture. It was instructed to ensure the care of wheat fields in accordance with agro-technical standards, as well as control over the pace of work in the areas allocated for sowing cotton: fertilizing with phosphorus fertilizer, plowing, harrowing, surveying and ridge-making.

Focusing on the issues of sowing cotton, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to take the necessary measures to flush the allocated land in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats in accordance with agricultural standards, timely supply of high-quality seeds to producers, to bring equipment and units into proper operational condition for the season.

The head of state emphasized the importance of harvesting sugar beets in the Mary velayat without losses, timely comprehensive preparation for the upcoming spring planting of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in order to provide domestic consumers with them in sufficient quantities.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to keep under constant control measures to maintain the proper functionality of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and preschool institutions, electricity, gas and water supply to the population, as well as the pace of work at social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled for opening this year.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work.
