Esen Aydogdyyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia, met with the organizers of the Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of the Dutar." The main topic of discussion was the preparation of joint events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the "International Year of Peace and Trust."
During the meeting, opportunities were considered for organizing cultural events featuring Turkmen artists and students from Turkmenistan studying in Russia.
The celebrations will include joint concerts, scientific conferences, exhibitions, painting competitions, as well as contests for reciters and composers. The events will take place at the Moscow Conservatory, the Russian Academy of Arts, the Center of Oriental Literature, and other renowned institutions in Moscow.
The festival's art director, composer Mamed Guseynov, noted that the jury traditionally includes both Russian and Turkmen musicians and educators.
The working meeting between the Organizing Committee and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia became an important stage in preparing for the IX Festival of Arts "Sounds of the Dutar." Participants exchanged ideas and proposals aimed at deepening cooperation and enriching the program. Regular interaction between cultural and diplomatic representatives demonstrates a high level of interest in developing cultural ties between Russia and Turkmenistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a shared aspiration was expressed to make the festival not only a celebration of music but also a platform for cultural dialogue that strengthens friendship between nations.
Each year, the "Sounds of the Dutar" festival is becoming increasingly popular. It is held at the end of October and early November. Following the festival, a musical-illustrative collection is planned to be published.
