In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the Turkmen people celebrate Novruz, which has come to us from the depths of centuries, on a grand scale. Its main priority is good neighbourliness, establishing peaceful and trusting relations. Novruz, included by UNESCO in the list of intangible heritage of humanity, contains spiritual and moral values of many peoples, including the Turkmen. It combines the ancient history of cultures, labour customs and family traditions, musical heritage.

In all corners of our country, in honour of the National Spring Holiday - International Novruz Day, various musical celebrations, performances of folklore ensembles and national games are enthusiastically unfolding on spring lawns. Along with this, an exhibition called «Movement of a New Day» has been launched in the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition presents works by artists who glorify the beauty of the Turkmen spring, and jewelers who can decorate the most demanding representative of the Turkmen people. National costumes with magnificent embroidery are also on display.

Visitors will be attracted by handicrafts, including musical instruments dutar and gyjak, as well as various household items. Carpet panels depicting the nature of the native land - vast pastures covered with greenery, fields of scarlet poppies and slender gazelles - create a unique harmony.
A sculpture of a Turkmen woman grinding flour in front of a tarim decorated with carpets and carpet products is also presented here.
The harbingers of Novruz - sprouted wheat, national treats pishme and semeni, increased the festive tone of the exhibition.
The exhibits carefully selected by the museum staff gave visitors a festive mood.
