On March 19, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov met with the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed to A.Harutyunyan an invitation to the Prime Minister of the country Nikol Pashinyan on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to attend a representative forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties considered issues of political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and transport and communications relations between the two countries and discussed the possibilities for further development of partnership in these areas.
The parties exchanged views on issues of improving the legal framework of Turkmen-Armenian cooperation.
At the same time, the special symbolism of 2025, the International Year of Peace and Trust, was emphasized in the context of significant events – the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s acquisition of the status of permanent neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
The meeting also discussed prospects for developing trade between the two countries using the transport and logistics potential of Turkmenistan.
